How reminders work today for clinics and hospitals

1

Bookings arrive

From your clinic software by API, as a CSV list or tag, or from a WhatsApp chat or missed call.

2

Reminder sent

An approved reminder template the day before, scheduled as a broadcast or sent by API, with an optional UPI link for the fee.

3

Patient replies

YES or CHANGE lands in the shared inbox; the AI answers routine questions from your approved text.

4

Front desk follows up

Staff confirm changes and can place an AI call in the patient's language with one click (Growth plan).

Payment follow-ups stop automatically on payment or opt-out; automatic per-booking reminder schedules are on the roadmap. Read how WhatsApp appointment reminders and automated reminder calls work together.

Frequently asked questions

What is the best way to remind patients of appointments in India?

For most Indian clinics the best order is WhatsApp first, because most patients read it within minutes, then SMS for those without WhatsApp, then a short call for anyone still unconfirmed. Appointment Reminder App sends the WhatsApp and SMS reminders on schedule or by API and lets staff call with one click; automatic escalation per booking is on the roadmap.

Can Appointment Reminder App write bookings into my clinic software?

It works the other way today: your clinic software sends contacts, reminder messages and payment requests to Appointment Reminder App through the REST API, and receives events back by webhook. Appointment Reminder App does not keep its own appointment calendar yet; that is on the roadmap.

Does it handle emergencies?

Partly, and it never gives medical advice. You define emergency words such as "chest pain" or "accident". When a patient types one on WhatsApp, the AI stops replying, tells the patient a person is joining and flags the conversation for your staff at once. It does not call emergency services; tell patients to call 108 in an emergency.

How much does appointment reminder software cost for a small clinic?

Appointment Reminder App costs ₹2,999 a month plus GST for WhatsApp and SMS reminders, and ₹7,999 for AI calls. Usage comes from a prepaid wallet: about ₹0.13 per WhatsApp reminder, ₹0.18 per SMS and ₹3.50 per call minute. There is no setup fee and a 14-day free trial with ₹200 of credit.
